Bonjour, Hola, Konichiwa, Hi!

You don't know me but I would like to know you. Does that sound creepy? Good.

I'm new to the blog-o-sphere but I've always felt that my need for attention/nerdy computer skills were perfectly matched for a blog I just never had a legitimate reason until now. This blog is about fulfilling my dreams. Let me preface this by saying I've already been following my dreams to a certain extent. I am an opera singer and I've been fortunate enough to get great training and to have some wonderful opportunities so far. Lately though things have been a little slow for me in opera town. I'm a rarer voice category so to a certain extent I expected this, but I've been a bit creatively unfulfilled so I've been looking for another creative outlet. Also, I am twenty-six years old. Not old but not that young anymore either. As my twenty-seventh birthday is approaching I decided to write a sort of bucket list for my twenties. Things I just had to do before I hit the big 3-0. Among the list were things like travel to Europe, pay off some of my student loans and have visible abs. Mostly lofty goals if I do say so. Number one on my list is to do Stand-Up Comedy. I've been thinking about this on and off for almost a decade and the same question keeps springing to mind: why not now? What better way to be creatively satisfied and also cross something off my list? So I've grabbed the proverbial bull by the horns and started writing an act. Being as painfully self aware as I am, I knew I needed to find a way to hold myself accountable. That is what this blog is. A way to keep me honest and keep me moving forward. So read or don't read (Read!), either way I'll be writing. I promise two things: so-so grammar and at least one chuckle per post*.
